New Year’s 2024 Reflections, Beginnings, and Ambitions
11 MINUTE READ
A new year and new dawning are upon us, but it is up to us to decide for ourselves as to whether we are worthy and deserving of the implied promise and all the unique opportunities and possibilities that it might offer. No matter the potential existing within a new year, we are not usually going to be given a map that takes us to X marks the spot. We have to make the deliberate choice to be accountable for putting forth our best efforts in striving for personal, professional, and community enlightenments and changes that will have the power to move us forward in beneficial and empowering ways as we cling with persistence to a positive mindset and a determined sense of adaptability while our journeys forever unfold.
Pluto is entering shining Aquarius on January 20th, and this will be the dawn of a new age in many ways. This is truly symbolic of a hopeful and successful year ahead should we decide to put in the work. Pluto is all about death and rebirth of self, the shedding of old skin and all that is no longer useful to who it is we are striving to be and where we are looking to going. When we fulfill this cycle and more importantly remember that it never stops coming back around, then we are more consistently and comfortably able to make way for newness and a more uplifting way forward. It is all about finding the courage through the pain to move on after having faced and accepted, and then resolved or released, what was needed.
Pluto making its new home in the zodiac sign Aquarius opens the doors for amazing, unexpected, and in some cases maybe even shocking experiences, ideologies, and foundations, regarding self, relationships, goals, life paths, etc. Aquarius is all about potential as it signifies innovation, singular creativity, intellectual advancement, independence, and ‘freedom’. It may, of course, be a bumpy journey with Pluto taking space here, but if you take the necessary risks and lead with boldness the end result is going to be spectacular or at least set you on the path to the spectacular coming up in the distance.
Without patience we will end up missing what has been patiently waiting for us.
Believe in yourself because I see 2024 as the start of the age of authenticity.
See yourself and come into yourself as you never have before or as you have always wanted to but never dreamed possible.

Advice:
Contemplate what sanctuary means for you in terms of replenishing your resources and renewing your energy while asking the questions who, what and where.
Evaluate your needs and boundaries without apology and in such a way that they can be articulated by you confidently and without restraint. While doing so, do not allow judgment from others to seep into your space. Do not expect obedience either, as others are entitled to their opinions. Demand respect if not acceptance and uphold for yourself whatever it is that keeps you safe and thriving.
Discover where and with whom you ‘feel at home’. It’s interesting how only by being lost can we really experience the beauty and joy of what it is to come into our own havens.
Heal and mend, or else move on fully from your relationships by, instead of pointing the finger, examining where you went wrong. Consider your own unhealed wounds, faults, missteps, and miscommunications, while leaving others to analyze their own and change themselves because none of us are qualified to decide how another person should be, nor what they should do or think. Our focus is often misplaced and deluded. We need to be able to look at ourselves first and foremost.
Ego is what brings about the demise of so many relationships throughout our lives.
If we are brave and resilient enough to consider all this advice, we will be in a much more stable and enriched position to handle and be that much more gainful from the opportunities that might present later on as each step taken can then make a way for the next new and interesting thing coming up on the horizon.
Our level of success in regard to anything is determined by our efforts and what we allow ourselves to encounter on a daily basis, rather than ignore or hide away from.

Knowledge:
We can all stand to embody a little bit more grace in our thoughts and behaviors. Grace is a freely unspoken favor enveloped in a blanket of warmth, patience, and goodwill. Those situations in which we least wish to entertain such a notion are the very same situations when it is most called for our consideration. We are all creative beings in some way or another and grace is a gift that we can all bring to life for the benefit of others, as well as ourselves.
Happiness and peace are contagious and worth latching onto as we stumble through what can be a harsh and unforgiving world. Such a state of being evokes wisdom and inspiration, as well as nurtures the voice within that seeks to cheer us on toward experiencing fruitful transformation.
Sometimes I find myself in circumstances where I like to use my internal voice and whisper the phrase “this is a time for nobility”. If you know that what you believe is right and true, is it really necessary to push or prod others to dismiss or feel shameful towards their own beliefs.
Truth in its purist sense does not require an audience but it does require a more ‘abundant’ state of mind.
New year’s affirmation: I will start transforming what I have been nurturing and holding on to just a little too tight, so as to find relief by giving it wings and finally learning that it was all worthwhile.

Action:
We should find ways to become more and more comfortable diving in and out of our own subconscious realms and in doing so we can then become more familiar with our own depths and be better equipped to manifest the teachings of our dreamworlds, which can help to keep us on the right track and give us the guidance, support, and curiosity that our species so often needs to not become lost in stagnancy and boredom.
Envision in full color and detail the experience of your purposeful goals and dreams coming true and developing roots. If we act as if something is normal and a constant part of our lives, then a lot of the time it will actually find a tangible place in our lives. What we believe does matter.
The more of ourselves we put into anything, the more value that ‘something’ will then carry, but we also need to find gratitude for what already exists in our lives, even the bad for the lessons it may teach and the worthwhile changes it may provide. This is so important in a society where we are all so ready and perched to demand more before we have really experienced what already exists.
Do not hesitate!
Understand the depths of your intentions.
Stay clear and resolute on the life you want to manifest for yourself and for the betterment of those around you.
•
New beginnings:
Face your fears, free your mind, and forge ahead.
Chaos and turmoil are inevitable at some point or another, but the right perspectives may suggest that is in fact part of the excitement of something, anything being molded and ‘becoming”. Think about all the weird and forbidden things that make up a witch’s brew. Be honest, we are all drawn to the idea of potions and what their finished product could make happen when we let our playful and innocent ‘sides’ out to breathe every now and again.
Disruptions do not have to be blockades as you forever meander on your pathways while traveling through your hallowed woods.
When you make your decisions with confidence never stop acting on them with resolve.
We should not take the lazy road of complaining when we do not want to deal with something or someone and then still allow it to take up space in our lives because we really do not want to do anything about it except complain, which gets us nowhere.
It is so much easier to sit around and whine about something than it is to do something about it through some form of action.
It all comes down to the power of choice in our lives.

reflection questions –
Journal on and explore some of the lessons learned in 2023 and how their teachings can help you move forward in different and more nourishing ways in 2024.
Is there something you have always wanted to try or a place you have always wanted to visit or something you have forever been wanting to pick up again or finally finish? Maybe you can make a commitment to fulfill one of these things in 2024.
What experiences had in 2023 can help you to elicit big changes for yourself and your life plans in 2024?
Is there a skill you want to conquer or an obstacle that keeps on beating you that you want to finally get a leg up on, well there is new hope in 2024. Take the plunge.
Allow 2024 to replenish your desire to keep gratitude at the forefront in respect to work, material, family, friends, self, goals, community, etc.
No matter what area in your life you feel may be lacking, there is always something of value to be uncovered if you dig deep enough and embrace a unique perspective.
Relationship development never goes out of style, a new year just means a new will. Afterall, “where there’s a will there’s a way”.
There is so much that we can do together that we would, in many cases, never be able to do or experience in that same way alone.
Try, that is all anybody can do.

Happy New Year.
I hope we all end up having some great and insightful stories to tell one another when the clock strikes on the twelfth hour of this next luminous year.
